Peer Instruction

Students answer the same question twice while in between, they discuss and learn from each other.

Setting up Peer Instruction is easy!

  1. Set up your Multiple-choice question(s) and identify the correct answer in the question bank.
  2. Go to Activities and then press the "Play" button on the right hand side of Peer Instruction.
  3. Select your quiz (e.g., Demo Activities) from the question bank, or create a question on the fly by clicking the "Create question" button at the top. Remember, you need to use question(s) in multiple-choice format.
  4. Click the title of the first question that you want to ask (e.g., "Store signage")
  5. The system generates the Session Number. Inform your students to join the session ("A168") and then press the "Start" button.
  6. Once students have answered the question, you press the "End question" button.
  7. The result is being shown on the screen.
  8. Now, let the students to talk among themselves for another few minutes. Perhaps you can also show them some additional information (e.g., YouTube video or online articles) about this topic. Once the class discussion has been taken place, you press the "Next" button to let students answer the same question the second time.
  9. Press the "End question" button to see the result coming from both of the first attempt (i.e., dark green) and the second attempt (i.e., light green).
  10. Press the "Score" button at the top to see how many question(s) have been correctly answered by each student.
  11. When all questions are completed, press the "End Game" button to finish the game.
